How the browser-local MP3 to MIDI tool handles your data.
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Your audio stays on your device
Audio decoding, note transcription, MIDI editing, and export happen in your browser. The conversion feature does not upload your audio or generated MIDI to our servers or to an AI provider. The page downloads the processing code, model, and other static assets needed to run locally.
Microphone
Microphone access is requested only when you choose to start recording. You can stop recording at any time. The microphone tracks are stopped when recording ends or the page is closed. Recordings are limited to three minutes.
Session data
Your current audio and notes are held in browser memory. Switching to the MIDI editor can carry notes within the same page session. Refreshing or closing the page clears this working session. Download your MIDI before leaving if you want to keep it.
The interface may store your selected language and theme preferences in your browser. No advertising or analytics script is included in this version.
Hosting and network requests
The hosting provider necessarily receives ordinary web request information such as your IP address, browser information, and the requested page or asset. Hosting logs and security processing are separate from your audio, which is not included in these requests. Standard browser caching may retain downloaded application files.
Your choices
You can use the upload workflow without granting microphone access, revoke microphone permission in your browser, clear site storage, or close the page to end the current session. Only use recordings you have the right to process.
Changes
This notice describes the current browser-local tool. Material changes to how audio is processed or shared will be described here before those features are offered.
