Select a reference for the desired sound style. It must differ from the target.
AI Music Mastering
Choose your mix and a different reference recording to prepare the loudness, tone, and dynamics matching workflow.
Reference-matched mastering is not connected. No audio has been uploaded, analyzed, or processed.
A Clearer Starting Point for Mastering
Prepare a target mix and a reference that communicates the sound you are aiming for.
Describe the Goal with a Reference
A reference can communicate tonal balance, perceived loudness, and the way a finished mix holds together. Choose something relevant to your genre and arrangement rather than simply the loudest track you know. The reference guides a mastering goal; it cannot make two different productions identical.
Keep the Musical Intent in Focus
A master should support the mix you have already made. Decide what needs improvement and what must remain: transient punch, vocal intimacy, bass weight, or dynamic movement. If an instrument is too loud or a recording is clipped, return to the mix before asking mastering to solve it.
Prepare the Files Without a Plugin Chain
Use the browser workspace to select the target and reference and check that both are the intended files. The current preview validates the preparation flow and explains the missing processing connection. It does not render or claim a professionally mastered result.
Who Plans Reference-Based Mastering?
A shared reference can make the final sound easier to discuss.
Independent Artists
Clarify the intended release sound before finalizing a mix. Keep the reference close in style and compare at matched loudness.
Home-Studio Producers
Use a reference to identify tonal or dynamic differences without losing the decisions that make your track distinctive.
Content Creators
Plan consistent sound for a cue, podcast theme, or video soundtrack. Check the complete delivery requirements before exporting.
Small Labels and Studios
Communicate the desired finish with a clear target and reference pair. Keep source versions organized for review and revision.
Prepare Reference-Based Mastering
Four checkpoints help keep the target, reference, and expected output unambiguous.
1
Select Your Target Mix
Use the mix you want to finish. Check that it is the correct version and that obvious balance or clipping problems are already addressed.
2
Select a Suitable Reference
Pick a recording with a relevant style and tonal direction that you are permitted to use for this purpose.
3
Review the Pair and Service Status
Confirm the target and reference are not reversed. Submitting currently displays the disconnected-processing notice.
4
Evaluate the Final Output When Available
A completed master will need level-matched comparison and playback checks. This preview does not manufacture an output file.
AI Mastering Questions
References, source quality, formats, release expectations, and availability.
What is AI music mastering?
It uses automated analysis and audio processing to adjust a finished mix toward a target sound. It is a finishing stage, not a replacement for recording, arrangement, or mixing.
How does reference-based mastering work?
A reference gives the processor a tonal and loudness direction to compare against the target mix. The current interface prepares the pair, but actual processing is not connected.
Which audio formats are supported?
Use the formats and limits shown by the target and reference selectors. A clean, high-quality source is preferable to a repeatedly compressed copy.
Will my track sound identical to the reference?
No. Different performances, instruments, and arrangements cannot be made identical through mastering. Use a reference as a direction and judge whether the result serves your own track.
Can I commercially release a mastered track?
Processing does not create or transfer rights to the music. Confirm your ownership and permissions, the actual service terms, and your distributor requirements before any release.
Is mastering available for free?
The preparation interface can be explored without payment. Mastering, subscriptions, and credit billing are not connected, so no free processing entitlement is offered.
How long does mastering take?
There is no live processing-time estimate because the mastering service is disconnected. Any future duration would depend on the provider, file, and processing queue.
What makes a useful reference track?
Choose a similar genre, instrumentation, and intended energy, with a tonal balance you admire. Compare at matched loudness so volume alone does not determine the decision.
Should I fix the mix first?
Yes. Resolve clipping, unwanted noise, obvious balance issues, and arrangement problems first. A finishing processor cannot reliably repair every problem inside a combined mix.
Why are a target and reference both requested?
The target is the music to process. The reference communicates the intended finish. Keeping those roles separate avoids changing the wrong file or comparing against an unsuitable goal.
